Discussion Groups

Discussion groups are still a highly effective method for gathering qualitative data.

Very specific samples may be pre-recruited and the "group dynamic" benefits the collective development of ideas (i.e. if someone says something, others may build on and enhance it).

For most of our projects, we recruit eight respondents to your specifications – just tell us the age, gender, consoles/peripherals owned, hours played, brands liked, websites visited, or whatever else you think defines the people you want to hear from.  With gameplay testing we have discovered that smaller groups of four to six are more effective.

For gaming projects we also have a "total immersion" research design where the same groups play the same game over multiple evenings.
