Sean Dromgoole
Sean Dromgoole is a founding partner of Some Research Ltd and has 14 years’ experience in consumer research, as well as a background in media production and analysis.  In addition to his many strategic projects in the video games industry with clients including Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony, Warner Bros. and Square Enix, Sean has given a number of presentations and speeches on the industry at various events and conferences.  He has also worked on strategic marketing consulting projects with such names as the BBC, Pfizer, Cadbury’s, ITV, Landrover, Fiat, and Channel 4.  Sean is a Director of GameVision Europe Ltd, the industry leader in providing statistical and strategic analysis for the games industry in Europe through its biannual syndicated report. Prior to consumer research Sean was a film-maker, a soap writer, and lent money to talented film companies on behalf of the European commission.

Sean holds a BA Honours in Philosophy from London University.

Philip Barton
Philip Barton is a founding partner of Some Research Ltd and has over 15 years’ experience in qualitative market research. He has worked on numerous strategic projects within the video games industry and his clients include: Activision, Sega, Nintendo, Ubisoft and Sony. Philip has also carried out strategic work for the BBC and many advertising agencies. Philip is a Director of GameVision Europe Ltd, the industry leader in providing statistical and strategic analysis for the games industry in Europe through its biannual syndicated report. Prior to Some Research Ltd, Philip has worked in the head of office of a FTSE 100 company, has run a small theatre and has worked as sports journalist.

Philip holds an MA from Cambridge University and a degree in Psychology from the Open University. He is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.

Whitney Hill
Whitney joined Some Research Ltd in 2011 and has previous experience in the European Marketing and Advertising department at Nintendo of Europe.  She has also done channel marketing and helped with a gamification project at SAP UK Ltd.  She is interested in how social media is affecting gaming habits.

Whitney holds a BA Honours in International Relations from Michigan State University, an MSc in International Business from Aston University specialising in Marketing, and an MSc in Management from both EM Lyon Grande Ecole and Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich.  Among Whitney’s passions are video gaming, travel photography, and baking gourmet desserts.

Some Research is a member of AQR (Association for Qualitative Research) and the MRG (Media Research Group).
